So here's my latest project that I just finished tonight... to break up the monotony of grey-sweater-ness. I almost don't want to post this because it's for Stephanie and she bought [most of] the wool and supplies for it... but he's just so cuuuuute. I want to keep him. He's the kind of stuffed animal that just makes you smile whenever you look at him.

| A Very Viking Christmas |

My aural skills TA, let me just put it out there, is awesome.
Beneath the cut is my Christmas-Thank-You-For-Not-Failing-Me-Gift to him. I had him make a list of all his favorite historical figures, then I took the top five easiest-to recreate-in-felt and made them into finger puppets. But these finger puppets needed a stage.
Rather than build them a conventional theater, I constructed a viking ship because... well, Matt is crazy into that stuff. Like Viking metal. [For those who are anxious for the pursuit and attainment of knowledge, it's hard metal music. About vikings. I'm serious.]

This is in no way any indication that I have finished the presents for those I have actually promised presents to. In fact, I'm pretty sure I won't be getting any of them done until sometime in mid-January. I'll just have to show y'all the progress I'm making and prove that I just started way too many projects at once but I still love you all. |
