okay so i recently bought a stright underbust cincher on ebay for about $80 or so. (it was more than that but it was in british pounds, so i forget how much exactly. well the auction says steel spiral boning all the way around and stee; busk, the whole shebang, right?? i just got it in the mail and it's totally plastic!! the only steel is in the busk and to top it all off the plastic bones are totally warped from carppy shipping practices. How messed up is that?
here's a link for you guys to see whatit was supposed to be like. I guess I should know better than to expect a decent corset for so cheap!

Ohhhh my god, my life. @____@
I just spent the past 40 minutes a gigantic mess and believing I had essentially just killed my hamster. I put Teaspoon in her ball earlier tonight before I got to work on papers and just now remembered about her because I am the world's worst pet owner. And there is nothing quite like the feeling of your heart dropping about a mile when you go to retrieve your hamster and find.. an empty ball. In a hueg house with three cats. Ohhhh my god.
Sooo my parents and I spent the past 40 minutes searching for her and as the searching seemed more and more futile (very large house, very small hamster) I became more and more of a mess aaaand the suddenly Mom yells "FOUND HER" from the bottom of the attic stairs leading up to my bedroom. Teaspoon was just like, chillin' at the top of my stairs. She had climbed twelve carpeted stairs up to my room. (So glad I taught her to do that. D8) Jesus christ, that hamster.
...Seriously though, that absolute terror that I may have just killed an animal I care for that lasted for at least a half hour was.. not something I want to go through uh, ever again. My migraine is even worse now, from crying. I may have even prayed for her a little bit and I uh. Don't do that. Ever. Auuugh.
Today has been pretty much AWESOME. By awesome, I mean fffffffffff is it over yet (lol no I still have a 500 worder to write.) Did I mention I am a blonde monstrosity? I am a blonde monstrosity. I don't want to talk about it. Purple needs to happen ASAP.
Taking the train from NYC to Providence tomorrow morning (kill me) aaand then driving from Providence to larpfarts with Samara tomorrow afternoon. Good lord I need this weekend to help me forget that the real world exists.
PS-- this is what is staring at me dead in the eyes as I write this entry, wholeheartedly displeased that my attention is not focused entirely on her. Oh, Kaze.

So as far as books go, I've been devoting just about all of my free time to Kicked, Bitten and Scratched; an awesome book about the Moorpark EATM program. Despite my fascination with this subject, I did find time out to run through a small book my mom got out from the library: Team Rodent - How Disney Devours The World by Carl Hiaasen. Allow me to quote one of my favorite passages...
"...As I write this, a potentially breathtaking drama is unfolding within stalking distance of Adventureland. A full-grown African lioness has escaped from a roadside zoo called JungleLand...The escaped cat is called Nala, named (predictably) after a lioness character in Disney's animated blockbuster The Lion King. i failed math by 2 points. thanks, professor, for that little extra help.
no matter what i do, how i do it, how hard i work - i can't grasp mathematic concepts. i can't do it. period. it's the second time i've failed it and i've got one year left. if i take it as a regular course and not online, i never go and fail. if i take it online, i don't have enough contact with the professor and fail. so, basically, i'm fucked.
this sucks. |

home for the summer tonight. in the city on saturday for a yankees/mets game, the broadway production of boeing-boeing at 8, and sleeping over kerrie, mike and mariah's apartment to wake up early for the AIDS walk. supposed to go in to read for horton in seussical the musical sunday night, but rehearsals are a good 45 minutes away from my house, so i'm going to skip it.
my allergies are for the birds. i can't take them anymore. maybe i'll just cut off my nose. |
